COMPOSITION

Exterior grape skin (made in Italy): 55% grape, 22% bio-PU, 23% recycled polyester
Interior: 100% recycled PET (water bottles) made in Italy

Metal elements: plated brass certified nickel and chrome free, made in Portugal (premium quality)

Grape skin is a premium material made in Italy with upcycled grape must recovered during the harvest. It is a recovery of waste.

Grape skin is very durable. The finish is a soft, textured and slightly shiny full-grain calfskin texture that is difficult to tell the difference with the naked eye (yes, we assure you!). It does not have
odorless and water resistant. It will not flake off in a few
years. It has all the properties of animal leather without the ecological consequences, it emits 89% less GHG than the latter. It was designed to represent an ecological alternative to animal leather. The NY base is semi-rigid.

MANUFACTURING

All bags are traditionally made in Portugal by hand, in a factory that has been working with the biggest French luxury brands for 30 years. The bags have the same level of finishing.

Grape skin represented a bit of a technical challenge for our workshop master because he works it in the same way as animal leather. We worked closely with the workshop to develop a
perfect, high-end manufacturing.

An example: the edges of the bags are hand-painted 7 times in a row (compared to 2 or 3 times for animal leather) and polished to obtain an impeccable finish. The bags therefore take longer to make than if they were made of animal leather.
